For the moment when conversations have become circular—and honesty feels risky but necessary. This audio supports courageous, non-hostile truth-telling and helps listeners speak what’s been withheld without turning honesty into harm.
A turning-point track for couples ready to move from emotional survival to emotional clarity.
[00:00] You're listening to the Still Us™ Audio Series — quiet conversations for couples in hard seasons, created by Tameka Lancaster, therapist and founder of Emotional Blueprint Academy.
[00:14] These aren't therapy sessions. They are guided spaces for when you feel stuck, sad, or overwhelmed — but aren't ready to give up.
[00:23] You don't need to solve anything right now. Just breathe, and let these words hold space for what hasn't been said yet.
[00:33] Whether you're listening together or alone, this is a place for truth without punishment, and connection without pressure.
[00:43] I'm Tameka. Welcome to Emotional Blueprint Academy. This Still Usâ„¢ conversation is for the moment when you realize: "We've talked a lot. But we haven't told the truth."
[00:56] If you're ready for honesty — not hostility — this is the space for you. You've had the talks. The same conversations.
[01:05] Circling around the same things. You've said the surface stuff. The polite stuff. The stuff that keeps things moving but doesn't move anything. But the real truth — the one buried under your silence, your sarcasm, your patience, your over-functioning — hasn't been said.
[01:26] Not fully. Not clearly. Not without fear. And now, you're emotionally falling back on the occasion.
[01:36] You've said everything except the thing that matters most. Let's change that together. Take a breath.
[01:45] Yeah, this is a real one. Let it move through your body like permission. Say quietly to yourself: "I am allowed to tell the truth."
[01:58] Even if it trembles. Even if it shakes the foundation. Even if it changes everything. This isn't about trauma.
[02:10] It's about release. Not everything said in honesty will hurt. Find what's true.
[02:19] What will set you free, said softly. Even just softly.
[02:27] Ask yourself, for each other: "Why have I been afraid to say this? Because I don't know what it will cost me. Or what I'll have to swallow. So many times I've barely recognized myself anymore. But what would I say if I really knew it would be heard?"
[02:49] Notice. No fear. Let the answers rise. You don't need a polished speech.
[02:59] You need something honest. Even just one sentence. The one you've kept in your head but never let out loud.
[03:08] Try starting with: "I haven't said _____ because I was afraid to." Knowing how to say it without hurting them, like wondering: "Is it safe to say it?"
[03:21] Even if your voice shakes — say it. Even if they pause too long before responding — say it.
[03:30] Because staying silent for safety is no longer worth the cost. Now, notice what your body is feeling.
[03:40] Are your shoulders held? Jaw clenched? Chest tight? Soften just one part.
[03:49] Say to yourself: "I'm safe to tell the truth. Even if they don't like it. This is not an attack."
[03:59] It's a return. And you're not the villain for being real. You're not heartless for wanting clarity.
[04:08] And you're not breaking the relationship by speaking. You may be saving it. Turn toward each other. If you can — try saying one final thing.
[04:20] "There is room again in this relationship for what's real — if we choose truth over comfort." If it lands…
[04:30] …let it sit. If it stings, don't rush. Don't freeze.
[04:38] Breathe into that space and let it land. You've been doing the work of emotional survival. Now you get to do the work of emotional honesty.
[04:49] Let this be the moment when silence ends and something more honest begins. This conversation may not fix everything…
[04:59] …but it's a start. And sometimes, the repair begins before the words do. If you need to revisit this — do.
[05:08] If you need space, take it. If you need to say something now, let it come through — even softly. For more tools to reconnect with care…

Yes — these are designed to be listened to together. Some couples play them on a drive or at the kitchen table. The license is per-household, not per-listener.
